The First Movie Studio in Texas
The Méliès Star Film Ranch was based just outside of San Antonio, at a ranch where most of the actors and production team lived during 1910/1911. Some in the group (namely Gaston Méliès and Hortense-Louise de Mirmont) stayed at the Hot Wells Hotel.
